Hello and welcome back, BEMS students and families!
We are excited to start another school year with you and your children! If you are a returning student, we can’t wait to see you again! If you are new to our school, we can’t wait to get to know you. My name is Julie Kittell, and I am excited to introduce myself to you as the new Bakersfield Elementary & Middle School Principal. I have spent my career as an educator working with students of all ages and staff of all capacities, and I am excited to get to know everyone in the BEMS learning community this year! I look forward to supporting and growing right alongside all students, staff, and families of Bakersfield.
We are going to have a great year full of new challenges and opportunities. BEMS is proud to offer a unique experience where students become known as individual learners and where they can develop their own personalities and abilities. We look forward to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and personal growth of all students.
