Welcome to Bakersfield Elementary and Middle School. Home of the Bobcats. BEMS and Bakersfield is a school full of traditions and pride. I previously held the position of building leader at BEMS 18 years ago. When I had a chance to return I quickly jumped at it. Why? Because of the amazing staff, the fantastic community and endless possibilities.
This year our theme is KINDNESS. We are intentionally building community and relationships in both the grade and also the school and greater community. We worked during inservice this year to identify what “We Believe” as a staff. When reading over their belief statements it proved my decision to be spot-on coming back to Bakersfield.
We believe in a school where all community members model empathy and kindness.

We believe a safe and consistent school creates a joyful and peaceful environment.
I look forward to working alongside you as we fulfill our belief statements and create engaging lessons that allow students to grow academically as well as social and emotionally.
